Jag har varit i USA sedan 31 oktober nu. En del är uppenbarligen religiösa i sin tillit till Obama. ”I voted for Obama”-knappar och klistermärken syns här och där och nyss såg jag TV-reklam för porslinstallrikar med Obama på.

En leende Obama med fyrverkerier i bagrunden och texten ”Change Has Come” i guld och undertexten ”Historic Victory”. Bara 19.99 USD, men max två eller om det var tre per kund. Och så limited och äkthetsbevis förstås. Väldigt exklusivt.

Only in America! En given investering för den med sinne för humor. Själv har jag minnestallrikar med Fälldin och Ullsten på. De uppskattas mycket av mina politiskt intresserade vänner. De saknar dock text av guld. Kanske hade de inte lika religiöst hängivna anhängare.

Inte precis den utmärkta start som Tage Erlander talade om 1946 när han i sin dagbok kommenterade att han kategoriserats som en nolla med ”ingen dålig början”.

Obama måste sänka förväntningarna annars kommer han snabbt få problem med missnöje.
